-   STUDIO PILATES  -

Studio Pilates sessions provides clients the use of  a whole range of specialty apparatus such as the Universal Reformer, Tower, High/Low Chair, Ladder Barrel, Hump Barrel and Spine Corrector. We offer the following studio Pilates sessions:

 

Private - These are one-on-one sessions where you will be able to work out on various pieces of Pilates apparatus, and will be given a program specifically tailored to your needs and goals.

 

Semi-Private - This is where you share the session with someone of a similar level, yet still get

very focused, specific attention to your workout. Available for Duo (1:2) or Trio (1:3) appointments.

 

Tower - Tower classes combine the precise movements of matwork with the resistance of the springs and bars of the tower. The tower apparatus supports the body to ensure proper stabilization and positioning, while providing added resistance for toning, strengthening and lengthening of muscles. Space is limited to 4 clients. 

 

Tower and Chair - These classes use the tower apparatus as well as the chair, which is excellent for strengthening the core muscles, arms and legs. Exercises are done lying, sitting and standing on the chair, as well as from positions to the sides of the chair. Space is limited to 3 clients.

-   GROUP CLASSES  -

 

Group Reformer (1:5) 

 

Our Group Reformer classes are an effective method to get more out of your Pilates class, with the use of the specialised Pilates reformer beds. Learn the fundamentals of Pilates reformer exercises and the principles of breathing, concentration and coordination in a friendly, supportive environment. Improve coordination, posture, body awareness, and strength.

 

If you're new to our studio, new to Pilates or haven't done it in a while, you’ll need to do an initial assessment before your first Group Reformer class so we can set program goals and develop your individualised program. Space is limited to 5 clients.  Duration - 55 minutes.

Women Only Group Reformer (1:5) 

 

Just like Group Reformer (1:5), but for women only. Taught by Laya Smukler, this class will  aid in reducing stress levels, improving your memory, having a better functioning nervous system, and increasing your confidence, happiness, creativity, strength and flexibility. Space is limited to 5 clients.  Duration - 55 minutes.

Mat Pilates

 

Mat Pilates classes are ideal for those who have no severe injuries and like the social aspect of a group environment. These classes are conducted on the mat, using your own body weight and small apparatus for resistance. Focus is placed on precise movements originating from the center or core of your body. Learn the fundamentals of Pilates floor exercises and the principles of breathing, concentration and coordination in a friendly, supportive environment. Improve coordination, posture, body awareness, and strength. Space is limited to 12 clients.  Duration - 55 minutes.

Women Only Mat Pilates 

 

Just like Mat Pilates, but for women only. Ageless Pilates

Taught by retired Physiotherapist Lorna Wyatt, our Ageless Pilates class is carefully designed to minimise stress on the body and is suited for those who are over 50 and those who are reaching the end of injury recovery. It's a great way to improve core strength, balance, stability, flexibility and posture. At any age, you can get into the best shape of your life when you exercise with full awarenes of your body's changing nature.​Space is limited to 12 clients.  Duration - 55 minutes.

 

Barre

 

Barre classes combine ballet and Pilates for a low-impact, fat-burning workout. Each class includes several highly effective sequences of toning and resistance exercises with an emphasis on the core, arms, seat and thighs. It is a fun and challenging workout that uses the ballet barre, light weights and various props. However, as our Barre class also includes a yoga based warm up, stretch and flexibility work throughout the class, and relaxation/meditation to finish off, you leave feeling invigorated and recharged. Space is limited to 12 clients. Duration - 55 minutes.

Animal Flow® 

 

Animal Flow ® is an innovative new fitness program that combines quadrupedal and ground based movements with elements from various bodyweight-training disciplines to create a fun, challenging, multi-planar workout. Easily tailored to people from all fitness levels, gym-goers and athletes alike will realise significant benefits from the practice, including increased mobility, flexibility, stability, power, endurance, skill and neuromuscular communication. Animal Flow® is the ultimate versatile workout that makes a great addition to any fitness professionals’ arsenal of movement tools. Space is limited to 12 clients. Duration - 55 minutes.
